History
Since opening its doors in 1969, O’Pazo quickly became a benchmark in Madrid’s vibrant culinary scene. Its dedication to excellence earned it a prestigious distinction: being one of the few restaurants awarded a Michelin star in the first-ever edition of the Michelin Guide for Spain.
O’Pazo, our essence
In 1981, Evaristo García, owner of Pescaderías Coruñesas, took over the restaurant with a clear vision—to turn O’Pazo into a temple of seafood. From that moment on, the relentless pursuit of the finest fish and shellfish from our coasts, combined with a simple preparation that enhances their natural flavors, has defined our identity.
A new chapter
In 2008, a major renovation transformed the space to match the exceptional quality of the ingredients we serve. Today, O’Pazo is recognized as one of the world’s finest seafood restaurants, a place where tradition and quality continue to set the standard.
