History

O’pazo was opened in 1969.

Quickly earned a spot in the thriving dining Madrid, till the point of being one of the few restaurants that was rewarded with a Michelin Red Guide star in it first edition to Spain.

In 1981 it was acquired by Evaristo Garcia, owner of Pescaderías Coruñesas, and the restaurant specialized in fish and seafood could not be otherwise.

Since then the main goal was finding the best product to our shores and a simple preparation to enhance the natural flavours.

In 2008 a profound reform was made, that matched the local with the product being offered.

Today it is considered one of the best seafood restaurants in the world.
